Spring Break Packing List for Panama City Beach
You’d be surprised how many spring breakers show up to Panama City Beach without sunscreen, without a phone charger, or with a suitcase full of clothes they never wear. This packing list is optimized for a 5–7 day trip to PCB — everything you need, nothing you don’t.
Beach Essentials
Two swimsuits minimum — you need one to wear while the other dries. Sunscreen SPF 30 or higher (reef-safe preferred). Sunglasses with a strap or retainer. A beach towel (hotels usually provide pool towels, but bring your own for the beach). Flip flops or slides. A reusable water bottle. A waterproof phone pouch — this is non-negotiable.
Daytime Clothes
3–4 t-shirts or tank tops. 2–3 pairs of shorts. 1 pair of athletic shorts for activities. A lightweight hoodie or zip-up for cooler evenings. A hat or cap for sun protection.
Going Out Clothes
2–3 going-out tops or nice t-shirts. 1–2 pairs of nicer shorts or jeans. 1 pair of going-out shoes (clean sneakers, loafers, or boots for guys; sandals, wedges, or sneakers for women). 1 casual dress or romper (women).
Tech and Gadgets
Phone charger and portable battery pack — this is the most forgotten essential and the one you’ll regret most. A Bluetooth speaker (waterproof preferred). Earbuds or headphones. Charging cables for your crew’s devices.
Health and Wellness
Aloe vera gel (you will need this). Ibuprofen and antacids. Electrolyte packets (Liquid IV, Pedialyte, or similar). Band-aids and basic first aid. Any prescription medications. Contact lens supplies if applicable.
💰 Spring Break Tip: The PCB Club Card gets you discounted entry to the biggest events and parties all season long. Use code PARTY at checkout to save 10%.
Nice to Have
A small daypack or drawstring bag for carrying stuff to the beach. A cooler bag for drinks and snacks. Spike ball, frisbee, or football for beach games. A GoPro or waterproof camera. Travel-size laundry detergent (if your condo has a washer). A deck of cards or a portable game.
Leave at Home
Expensive jewelry or watches. More than 2–3 pairs of shoes. Formal clothes. Valuables you’d be devastated to lose. Heavy winter clothes (a light hoodie handles the coldest PCB nights in March). Textbooks (be real with yourself).
Packing Pro Tips
Roll your clothes instead of folding — you’ll fit more and reduce wrinkles. Pack a separate bag for dirty clothes to keep them away from clean stuff. Put your sunscreen and aloe in a Ziploc bag in case they leak. Charge your portable battery before you leave. Screenshot important info (hotel address, confirmation numbers, emergency contacts) in case you lose phone service.
