Mixed ages: 18+ and 21+ in one group.
Two ages, two rules. Everyone can still have a good night.
18+ to enter / 21+ to drink, valid photo ID required
Spring break groups rarely share a birthday. Here is how to plan around two different ages without anyone feeling left out.
What are the two rules?
- 18+ to enter with valid photo ID.
- 21+ to drink with valid photo ID.
PCB says this is firm and applies to all card levels. It is no exceptions. Florida sets the drinking age at 21, and PCB's age limit page explains that the 18+ entry is the policy for card venues.
What can an 18-year-old do?
They can enter with valid photo ID and a PCB Club Card, and enjoy the music, the dancing and the photos. They cannot drink. The free-drink windows do not apply to them.
What can a 21-year-old do?
Enter, and drink with valid photo ID. Free drinks 3 to 5 PM and 8 to 10 PM are for Ultimate and Platinum cardholders who are 21+ with valid photo ID.

What are the group rules?
- Do not hand drinks to anyone under 21. Not "just a sip." PCB's age pages cover the drinking age, and Florida law restricts giving drinks to people under 21.
- Everyone brings their own valid photo ID.
- Plan how everyone gets home. Mixed groups often split up at the end of the night.
- Tell the group where you will be. Share locations.
How do you make the night work for everyone?
Pick parties where the music is the point. The daytime Beach Blast runs 1 to 5 PM on Wednesdays. Night parties like LIT and Illumination are about glow, paint and DJs. Neither needs a drink to be fun.
For a quieter option, read PCB if you are not a party person.
What about card levels?
The levels do not change the age rules. Under-21 guests can use any level for entry. Free-drink perks on Ultimate and Platinum do not apply to them. If you are the 18-year-old in the group, the cheaper level may be enough. Compare in Platinum vs Ultimate.
What if someone in the group is under 18?
They do not meet the 18+ entry rule. PCB's pages and the Florida question pages also cover the curfew for unaccompanied minors in 2026. Plan something else for them. DoItForBreak has a post on whether you need to be 21 for PCB spring break.
What is the group chat message?
"Everyone bring ID. 21+ can drink. Everyone stays together. Here is the meet-up spot." Send that, and you have covered it.
How do you handle the end of the night?
Mixed groups tend to split up at the end. Do this:
- Agree on one leaving time and one ride before you go out.
- Have the sober or under-21 people help with the plan. They are not the problem.
- Do not leave someone alone late at night, whatever their age.
- Check the group chat before you go to sleep.
Everyone should end the night with a plan for the next day too.
