How not to lose your group at a PCB party.

Crowds move. Phones die. A plan takes two minutes.

18+ to enter / 21+ to drink, valid photo ID required

TL;DRBefore you go in, pick a landmark inside, a check-in time, share locations and agree how everyone gets home. Carry a charger, keep your valid photo ID on you and never leave alone. The PCB Club Card gets you into the parties; this keeps your group together once you are in.

Big parties are loud, dark and crowded. That is the point. It also means you will lose someone for twenty minutes. A plan fixes it.

What is the two-minute plan?

Before you walk in:

  1. Pick a landmark inside. The DJ booth, a bar end, a pillar. Not "by the dance floor."
  2. Pick a check-in time. "Look at your phone at 10:30."
  3. Share locations. Everyone in the group, at least with one other person.
  4. Agree how you are getting home. And who is leaving with whom.
  5. Charge your phone. Bring a small charger.

Post it in the group chat. A screenshot works when signal drops.

What if you do get separated?

Go to the landmark. Wait there. Do not wander off to look. Text once, then wait. If it is past the check-in time and you still cannot find them, check the group chat and your shared location.

What should you do with your ID and card?

Keep them on you, in a pocket, not in a friend's bag. If you get separated from the person holding your stuff, you are also separated from your way in. PCB's rules page is clear about ID, and our list is in what to bring to a PCB party.

What if a friend is not okay?

Stay with them. Get them water, find a staff member at the venue and do not leave them alone. If you are worried, ask venue staff for help. In an emergency, call 911.

How do you handle leaving?

Leave in groups. Do not let someone walk home alone late at night. See getting between venues for the ride plan. Never drive after drinking.

What about mixed groups?

When a group mixes ages, plan the end of the night too. 18+ gets in. 21+ gets a drink. Read mixed ages at PCB.

Who should hold the meet-up plan?

Everyone. One person who owns it is a single point of failure. Write it down in the group chat, then have everyone pin it. DoItForBreak's group chat rules have ideas for the chat itself.

What if you are not sure about the venue?

Look at the venue guide before you go. It tells you what each place is like, so you know where the bar, the outside space and the exits might be.

What should the group chat say?

A message you can copy:

"Meet-up spot: [landmark]. Check phones at [time]. Locations on. Ride home: [plan]. Nobody leaves alone."

Pin it. If you split into smaller groups, repeat it in each. The goal is that no one has to ask where to go. Our party day schedule shows where a plan like this fits.

Meet-up questions.

Where should we meet if we lose each other?

Pick a landmark inside before you go in, like the DJ booth, and a time to check your phones.

What if my phone dies?

Carry a small charger and go to the meet-up spot. Do not wander off to search.

Should I share my location?

Yes, at least with one friend in your group. Turn it on before you go in.

What if someone looks unwell?

Stay with them, get water and ask venue staff for help. In an emergency, call 911.
