Platinum entry ends at 11 PM. Now what?
The cutoff is not the end of the night. It is a reason to plan.
18+ to enter / 21+ to drink, valid photo ID required
"Free entry until 11 PM" is a time stamp, and time stamps cause arguments in group chats. Here is how to read it, from PCB's card page.
What does "free entry until 11 PM" mean?
Our reading: free entry applies when you arrive before 11 PM. PCB's FAQ puts it simply: "Platinum: free entry until 11 PM." Ultimate is "free entry all night, all events." The exact rules for what happens if you step out and come back are not on the pages we read. If that matters to you, ask the venue or contact PCB.
Our advice, not PCB's: assume that if you leave a party after 11 PM, you may not get back in for free. Plan on being in one place.
What is the simple plan?
Arrive early. Be inside before 11 PM, and stay. The free-drink windows help here: 8 to 10 PM is the drink window at card parties for Ultimate and Platinum (21+ with valid photo ID), so showing up for 8 PM puts you well before the cutoff.
What does PCB list for later at night?
The local discounts page lists The Liq with "free entry Mon-Wed 11pm-2am." That is a separate listing from the party list, so check the page for current terms. The Liq is a beach bar by day and a dance club by night, at 10912 Front Beach Rd. PCB does not list a 2027 theme party there yet.
When is Ultimate worth the upgrade?
When you want the freedom to arrive at midnight without thinking about it. Ultimate is $200 vs. $100, and it also adds Express VIP entry, a VIP section and 50% off the late-night menu. See what Ultimate includes.
How do you decide?
Ask your group:
- When do we usually leave for the party?
- Do we want to be flexible about when we show up?
- Is a $100 difference worth the flexibility?
For many groups, Platinum plus an earlier start is the right answer. For others, Ultimate is. Platinum vs Ultimate lays out the comparison.
What about the Fred's Card?
It is free entry 8 to 10 PM at Fred's only. If you want to be out later than that, it is not the card. See who the Fred's Card is for.
Does this affect Beach Blast?
No. It is 1 to 5 PM on Wednesdays, well before 11 PM.
Where can you read more about day versus night planning?
DoItForBreak's day parties vs night parties is a good companion.
What is the cheapest way to handle the cutoff?
Treat 11 PM as a deadline for arriving, not a deadline for leaving. If you arrive at 9 PM, you have two hours of buffer and you are inside the 8 to 10 PM drink window. If you arrive at 10:50, it is a gamble. The simplest answer is the one most groups land on: start earlier.
After 11 PM questions.

PCB lists free entry until 11 PM. After that, free entry does not apply. Ultimate is free entry all night.
Can I leave and come back?
PCB's pages do not say. Ask the venue or contact PCB, and plan on staying in one place.
Does The Liq have free entry late at night?
PCB's local discounts page lists free entry Monday to Wednesday from 11 PM to 2 AM at The Liq. Check the page for the latest.
