What the card covers, and what you still pay for.
The card handles entry and set drink windows. Here is the rest of the math.
18+ to enter / 21+ to drink, valid photo ID required
Budget posts usually go vague. This one sticks to what PCB lists and tells you where the card stops.
What does the card cost?
| Card | Price (per week, plus taxes and fees) |
|---|---|
| Fred's Card | $80 |
| Platinum | $100 |
| Ultimate | $200 |
Each person needs their own card. Cards are sold by week.
What does the card cover?
- Party entry. Free entry by level: Ultimate all night, Platinum until 11 PM, Fred's Card 8 to 10 PM at Fred's only.
- Free drinks for Ultimate and Platinum: 3 to 5 PM on 6 days and 8 to 10 PM on 7 nights, beer and a pre-mixed liquor option, 21+ with valid photo ID.
- Beach Blast for Platinum and Ultimate, with drinks and food included.
- One special event for Platinum and Ultimate.
- Local discounts. The discounts page lists a long set of partners.
What discounts does PCB list?
A sample from PCB's discounts page: Domino's $7 pizzas, 10% off at Outlaw BBQ, Pink Pelican 10% off, 10% off the menu at Sharky's, 15% off at Tiki Mikes, Señor Frog's 20% off the menu plus free chips and salsa, and 10% off food at Hammerhead Fred's. Runaway Island lists $3 drafts from 1 to 4 PM Monday to Friday (21+ with valid photo ID). PCB says more will be added. Check the page for what is current.

What does the card not cover?
- Lodging. See DoItForBreak's stay guide.
- Getting to PCB and getting around.
- Food beyond the discounts and Beach Blast.
- Drinks outside the free windows, and anything other than the listed beer and pre-mixed option.
- Taxes and fees on the card itself.
- Souvenirs, rides, sunscreen, and everything else.
How should you budget around it?
Think in three buckets:
- The card. Price times the number of people, plus taxes and fees.
- The trip. Lodging, travel and getting around.
- The rest. Food, extra drinks, rides and anything you buy for fun.
DoItForBreak has a spring break budget post for the trip side, and a guide to cheap eats.
Is it worth the money?
That depends on how many nights you will go out and which level you pick. Count the parties you actually want from the week pages, then check what each level gets you. PCB's math is on its card page. Yours is the one that matters.
What about the 21+ rule?
It affects your budget. If you are under 21, free drinks do not apply to you. The entry and the parties do.
What is a simple way to compare the levels?
Ask what you would pay for anyway:
- If you would pay cover at the door most nights, the card pays for itself in entry.
- If you would drink in the windows (21+), the free drinks add up on Ultimate and Platinum.
- If you would go to Beach Blast, it is included on Platinum and Ultimate.
- If you would eat out, the discounts help.
Add up what you would actually use, not what is listed. Our guide to the free-drink windows explains the biggest piece.
